Have you heard about ‚Pearson and BBC Live Classes’ project?
If not, it’s time to get interested.
What are Pearson and BBC Live Classes?
It is a project that allows your students to take part in an English online lesson, conducted by a native speaker from Great Britain, with other students from all over the world.
Thanks to cooperation of Pearson and BBC, you as an English teacher (no matter where are you from) have the opportunity to sign your students up for a chosen online lesson.
This project is suitable for pupils aged between 9 and 19 years old. Students take an active part in live classes and during the time they only use English.
Big Live Lessons were introduced during the pandemic reaching around 400 students from all over the world and being connected with the teacher via zoom.
What the difference between LIVE CLASSES and BIG LIVE LESSONS?
During the LIVE CASSES you and your students sit in your clasroom in front of a digital board as oposed to BIG LIVE LESSONS where all participants are in their homes joining the lesson online.
How to join the project?

Is it worth joining the project?
Definitely YES! It is an unique opportunity for your students to enter an online intercultural language classroom. Learning English is challenging so why not make this procccess easier and funnier for our students? Being able to speak English is not just about being able to communicate with native English speakers, it is the most popular second language in the world. The experience of interacting with children from all over the world proves that English is much more than just a school subject.
What else can you get?
First of all, students gain the experience and ability to useEnglish in practice. They also will become more confident and motivated to learn the language.
On the website you will find worksheets to use before the lesson as well as worksheets to use during the lesson.
After the session you will be able to join Facebook group, where you can share ideas and experience with teachers across the world.
Each student who participated in the lesson will receive an individual certificate. You, as a teacher, and your school will also receive an individual certificate.
I am looking forward to the new timetable for the 2021/2022 school year. I hope to meet you there!
